Dana Seguin, Aerie's marketing director, contracted John Urbano to shoot, direct, and edit sixteen consecutive print and video campaigns. These campaigns helped change forever the way intimate clothing brands market to their customers.

 

John’s and Dana's greatest accomplishment for Aerie was the creation of Aerie Real. From casting the talent, branding the concept, and launching the new Aerie Real brand, John was there to lead and direct the first three photo and video shoots. It was the first time an underwear brand took a stand against retouched images and promoted all body sizes by boycotting the super model. This concept is still running today and has become a huge topic of conversation within the industry for body awareness and positivity. Since the launch of Aerie Real, Aerie is nearing becoming a one-billion-dollar brand.
